Located opposite The Poole Planning Department in The Civic Centre, the former Poole Police Station is a prominent building in Poole and its conversion into residential apartments required a sensitive approach respecting the existing buildings Art Deco inspired architecture.
ARC Architecture Ltd conversion scheme demolished the old cell blocks to the rear of the Station and created a new contemporary wing to the rear courtyard giving the building a "C" shaped plan form. A raised seam upper floor podium has also been added to the old flat further adding to the internal accommodation, in total the scheme has achieved 52 one and two bedroom apartments.
